Sterling Kirk
Sterling Kirk has been a private Flute instructor and performer in the Traverse City area since 1996. She received her B.A. in Music from Western Michigan University and is a registered Suzuki Flute Instructor as well as a Certification Level I Music Together® Teacher and center director. Sterling currently serves as the Director of Sterling Studios and handles all of the behind the scenes registration and management tasks. She is currently teaching Music Together classes for MT Chesapeake in Annapolis Maryland and is the director for Music Together Military.
Nancy Deneen
Nancy Deneen is passionate about sharing music with others. She received training at the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey. Her musical experience includes performances with instrumental and vocal ensembles in Michigan, New York, and Massachusetts. Nancy also has a background in broadcasting, hosting and producing radio programs for music lovers of all ages. She holds a music performance degree from the University of Michigan School of Music.
Lauren Daney
Lauren Daney is the mother of two little boys, Elijah (3) and Benjamin (1). She has been involved in music since early childhood, playing the piano, guitar and singing. Although her formal education from the University of California Berkeley resulted in a BS in Microbial Biology, her passion has always remained in music. Lauren has experience performing in many arenas, ranging from church choir and personal appearances to musical theatre and barbershop groups to singing and song writing for children of all ages.
Georgia O'Brien
Georgia O'Brien is fortunate to have come from a family enriched by musical tradition. Since childhood she has practiced and performed Celtic music as a part of Evergreen, her family's multigenerational band. Georgia has also received seven years of formal training in violin and viola, as well as piano instruction. She has experience performing in an orchestral setting as a part of small ensembles, and as a soloist. For seven years, Georgia has worked intensively with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Working with children is her passion, and next year she will graduate from Grand Valley State University with a degree in elementary education.
